Today, the Amajuba District Municipality marked a significant milestone in its commitment to environmental sustainability and improved quality of life for residents with the sod-turning ceremony for a new wastewater treatment plant. The R89 million project is expected to enhance the municipality's capacity to manage wastewater effectively, contributing to a healthier environment and improved living conditions for the community.
The ceremony, officiated by Mayor Cllr Thembelihle Mthembu, highlighted the municipality's dedication to infrastructure devel
opment and service delivery. The project is expected to create approximately 20 jobs during implementation and after completion, stimulating local economic growth and providing opportunities for residents.
