Requirements

2.                   Bidders are requested to attached detailed quotations with specifications.  Bid- price -only quotations will not be considered.

Bidders are required to submit original tax clearance or income tax reference number, security pin and TCC number and valid B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificates and sworn affidavits or certified copies thereof together with their quotations, to substantiate their B-BBEE rating claims. This project includes the construction of civil works associated with the construction of ±38km of PVC and HDPE pipelines ranging from DN75 to DN250 at Eastbourne (Completion of Cancelled Contract), pipe fittings, pipe specials, chambers, etc. Prospective bidders must be registered with CIDB contractor grading of 6CE or higher class of construction works only. The 80/20 preference point system will be applicable as prescribed in Amajuba District Municipality Procurement Policy.

 

Bidders will be evaluated in terms of functionality as part of the minimum requirements before evaluated on price based on the following criteria: A Bid that scores less than 60 points out of 100 in respect of functionality will be regarded as submitting a non- responsive tender and will be disqualified. Thereafter the 80/20 Preference Points system will be applicable, with 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE Status Level of Contribution. NB: Bidders are required to submit original tax clearance certificate and valid B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate(s) or certified copies thereof together with their bids, to substantiate their B-BBEE rating claims.
