KZN PREMIER’S WOMEN ADVANCEMENT FUND APPLICATION DRIVE

The KwaZulu-Natal Women Advancement Fund drive spearheaded by His Worship the Acting Mayor of Amajuba District Municipality, Cllr Thembelihle Mthembu, got off to a promising start on its first day today.
The initiative, from the Office of KZN Office of the Premier, Honourable MPL AT Ntuli, is aimed at empowering Women entrepreneurs and advancing Women's economic participation, drew a significant turnout of Women from diverse sectors. The event took place at eMadlangeni Town Hall situated in Utrecht town.
The event provided a platform for Women to seek information on the funding opportunities available to them. The enthusiastic response from the Community was evident, with many Women eager to learn more about the fund and how it can support their business ventures.
The Honourable Acting Mayor Cllr Thembelihle Mthembu expressed his satisfaction with the first day's proceedings, stating that the overwhelming response was a testament to the district's commitment to Women's empowerment. "We are thrilled to see so many Women taking advantage of this opportunity. Our goal is to provide them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their entrepreneurial pursuits," he said.
The KwaZulu-Natal Women Advancement Fund drive is set to continue in the coming days around the district, with more Women expected to attend and explore the funding opportunities available to them. As the initiative gains momentum, it is clear that it has the potential to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Women in the Amajuba District Municipality.
The submission of Women's Advancement Fund applications closes on the 28th of February 2025.
