AMAJUBA DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY NATIONAL STUDENT FINANCIAL AID SCHEME (NSFAS) REGISTRATION DRIVE

In an effort to empower the youth, the Amajuba district municipality, under the leadership of His Worship Cllr. uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu, in collaboration with Madadeni Technical College, today officially commences the month-long National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) registration drive in preparation for the 2024 academic year.

The objective of this campaign is to provide services to the youth in the district, equip them with skills, and provide favourable school-leaving opportunities for them in their remote areas.

The large number of applicants on the first day was encouraging because it shows that many young people are eager to learn and want to improve their chances in life.

Poverty and other social ills like crime and high unemployment can only be eradicated though education.Improving your education will provide you with the skills needed to boost the economy and contribute to solving the problems our nation faces.

The municipality strongly encourages students and prospective students to utilise the NSFAS application process if they haven't already. All that is required are certified copies of your identification and the identification of your parents or guardians, along with proof of your income. The campaign will run until January 31, 2024.
