AMAJUBA DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY MAYOR, CLLR uMNTWANA NDABUKO ZULU SUCCESSFULLY ENGAGES AMAKHOSI AND IZINDUNA DURING 2024/2025 IDP CONSULTATIVE MEETINGS

In alignment with Chapter 4 of the Municipal Systems Act promoting participatory governance, His Worship, the Mayor Cllr. uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu, Speaker of council uMntwana S.O Zulu and the Deputy Mayor Cllr. Lihle Mthembu today 9 April 2024 presented the draft 2024/2025 IDP & Budget for review to Amakhosi and Izinduna, unveiling transformative projects that promise substantial improvements in the rural regions of Amajuba District.
The consultative engagement meeting with Amakhosi and Izinduna sought to seek inputs and recommendations into the revision of the 2024/25 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget to determine the developmental priorities for wards under the leadership of Amakhosi.
The meeting further clarified the municipality’s development strategies and objectives in respect to advancing the service delivery agenda throughout the district.
The burning issues that dominated the session were related to lighting conductors and road infrastructure. However the concerns raised by Amakhosi and Izinduna were put to ease, as the Honourable Mayor revealed that the Municipality had prioritised challenges of road infrastructure and lighting conductors in the forth coming financial year.
The meeting came to a successful conclusion as the concerns of Amakhosi and Izinduna were resolved, indicting a prosperous year for Amajuba District Municipality.
The Honourable Mayor uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu will further present the 2024/25 IDP budget to the community from 16 April 2024 in Emadlageni local Municipality to conclude in Dannhauser Local Municipality
